Our Client

Empire Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HR Executive to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance, and workforce administration. The successful candidate will also coordinate student placement and graduate programmes, helping to attract, develop, and retain talent across the organisation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and maintain employee records.
  • Support employee relations, engagement initiatives, and HR administration.
  • Coordinate attendance and leave records for payroll processing.
  • Assist with performance management and appraisal processes.
  • Coordinate student placement, internship, and graduate recruitment programmes.
  • Build relationships with universities, colleges, and training providers.
  • Represent the company at careers fairs and recruitment events.
  • Coordinate training requirements and maintain records of licences, certifications, and mandatory training.
  • Monitor Safe Pass, CSCS, and other competency certification renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practice.
  • Support audits, reporting, and general HR administration activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years' experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Professional HR qualification (e.g. CIPD) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, or a project-based environment would be advantageous.

The client is well established in the building industry in Ireland and as such drivers with previous experience transporting building/ construction materials would be an ideal fit, however drivers from all backgrounds will be considered for the position.

Given the nature of the business, deliveries may vary from day to day, this can range from multidrop runs to long haul Country runs with single deliveries. Drivers usually start between the hours of 07:00 – 08:00 and finish between 15:30 – 17:00 however as any driver knows this may be earlier or later on busy days or long distance timed deliveries. As such successful drivers will need to have a degree of flexibility around start & finish times. Starting location will be at the depot 15KM outside Cavan town.
