Our Client

Empire Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HR Executive to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance, and workforce administration. The successful candidate will also coordinate student placement and graduate programmes, helping to attract, develop, and retain talent across the organisation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and maintain employee records.
  • Support employee relations, engagement initiatives, and HR administration.
  • Coordinate attendance and leave records for payroll processing.
  • Assist with performance management and appraisal processes.
  • Coordinate student placement, internship, and graduate recruitment programmes.
  • Build relationships with universities, colleges, and training providers.
  • Represent the company at careers fairs and recruitment events.
  • Coordinate training requirements and maintain records of licences, certifications, and mandatory training.
  • Monitor Safe Pass, CSCS, and other competency certification renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practice.
  • Support audits, reporting, and general HR administration activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years' experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Professional HR qualification (e.g. CIPD) is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, or a project-based environment would be advantageous.
