Our Client

Empire recruitment is delighted to bring to the market an excellent opportunity for professional drivers to join one of our clients as part of their direct fleet. The client is well established in the building industry in Ireland and as such drivers with previous experience transporting building/ construction materials would be an ideal fit, however drivers from all backgrounds will be considered for the position.

Given the nature of the business, deliveries may vary from day to day, this can range from multidrop runs to long haul Country runs with single deliveries. Drivers usually start between the hours of 07:00 – 08:00 and finish between 15:30 – 17:00 however as any driver knows this may be earlier or later on busy days or long distance timed deliveries. As such successful drivers will need to have a degree of flexibility around start & finish times. Starting location will be at the depot 15KM outside Cavan town.

Requirements

All applicants must have a minimum of 2 year’s Artic experience, hold a valid CPC, driver’s license & digital tachograph card as a minimum. If drivers were to also have a valid Safe pass this would be a distinct advantage but not essential for the role. Drivers must have good geographical knowledge of Ireland.

Our Client whom is a reputable construction company requires a Site Administrator/Document Controller for a project commencing in Co. Cavan

A Site Administrator on a Construction site is seen as an integral member of the site management team and the position is a stepping stone for those who wish to progress quickly to higher level management, given the right characteristics and circumstances

The Site Administrator will also assume the role of onsite quality representative in conjunction with his/her duties as a site administrator.

Working Hours 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday

  • Administer on site the ISO 9001:2015 procedures and ensure that the guidelines outlined in the Company Manual are adhered to.
  • Maintain site filing in accordance with the Company site file structure in softcopy format. Site Administrator to ensure that he/she are copied on all incoming correspondence and outgoing correspondence so that a complete filing system is maintained in softcopy format. On completion of project all documentation not already in softcopy format is to be scanned and saved into project file.
  • In the absence of the site Health & Safety Officer maintain health and safety files.
  • Liaise with the Site Manager on a daily basis regarding site requirements for materials and plant and the requisition of same. Upon completion of the relevant requisition ensure that the deliveries are followed through with the supplier and upon delivery ensure that materials are checked and signed for.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for hiring and off-hiring of plant items in conjunction with the Plant Department. A weekly plant report to be given to Project Manager and when amended/agreed to be signed off and forwarded to Plant Department.
  • In the absence of the site Health & Safety Officer ensure that the necessary test certificates for all plant are kept up to date.
  • Complete all weekly document returns to the HR Department, including site organisation charts; attendance records and missing ticket reports.
  • In the absence of the site Health & Safety Officer, carry out site inductions for all new persons entering the site and ensure that all health and safety documentation is adequate.
  • In the absence of the site Health & Safety Officer, ensure that all persons on site have the relevant safepass and certification for the works they are carrying out.
  • In the absence of the site Health & Safety Officer, complete the necessary safepass; construction skills and induction register and from time to time carry out “spot checks” to ensure that all documentation is in place.
  • In the absence of the site Health & Safety Officer/Project Manager ensure that all sub-contractors site specific safety plans and method statements are handed over prior to commencement of works.
  • By means of a time management system, monitor all time and attendance records for both direct/agency labour and forward to the HR Department on a weekly basis.
  • In consultation with the site Q.S. and by means of the time management system, monitor labour resources of each sub-contractor on site and forward to QS on a weekly basis.
  • Issuing of all drawings received to relevant parties with accompanying issue sheet and maintenance of an up to date and accurate record of same on a drawing register in softcopy format.
  • In consultation with the Project Manager, updating and issuing monthly Project Report.
  • Attendance at weekly site team meetings so you are kept up to date with what is happening on the project.
  • The Site Administrator to act as administration support to the Project/Contracts Manager based on the project, which may include typing of letters; minutes etc.
  • At the completion of the project the Site Administrator will be responsible for the archiving of all site correspondence; drawings etc. (in softcopy format as far as possible) and in accordance with the site archiving procedures/checklist.
  • All safety documentation to be filed in hardcopy format only (legal requirement) and forwarded to Head Office for archiving.
  • The Site Administrator, in conjunction with the BCAR/Quality Manager; Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor, will be responsible for the compilation of documentation from the relevant sub-contractors in softcopy format, which is to be included in the O&M Manual and upon completion of same all softcopy documentation to be forwarded to Head Office for final collation.
  • Such other duties as may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time.

The Role:

The Retrofit Surveyor plays a key role in the successful delivery of residential energy retrofit projects. This position involves carrying out site inspections, coordinating with contractors and clients, maintaining accurate project documentation, and ensuring all works comply with SEAI requirements and relevant quality, environmental, and health and safety standards.

The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge with strong organisational and communication skills to support projects from initial survey through to completion, ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out property inspections to assess retrofit works and verify that completed installations meet the required specifications and SEAI standards.
  • Support the administration of retrofit projects, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Work closely with contractors, project teams, and external assessors to ensure projects progress efficiently and any issues are resolved promptly.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with homeowners by providing professional guidance and responding to technical queries where required.
