Retail Sales - Bathroom & Tile

The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, driving sales growth, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for luxury home improvement products.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Identify opportunities for growth and development within the local market.

Team Management:

• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Foster a positive and motivating work environment.

Customer Experience:

• Ensure all customers receive a superior shopping experience.
• Address and resolve customer enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
• Maintain high standards of store presentation and product display.

Operational Excellence:

• Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Oversee the implementation of company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Marketing and Promotions:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns.
• Develop local marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic and brand awareness.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities.

• Maintain the yard and worksite, ensuring areas remain clean and organized
• Taking in deliveries from suppliers and organizing storage. Perform forklift operations as needed.
• Organizing goods for delivery to customers.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working across all departments and performing a wide range of tasks as required.
• Work comfortably in an outdoor environment.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a positive, proactive, and can-do attitude in all work situations.
• Follow all Health and Safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
• Work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
• Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

·      Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

·      Working Days: Monday to Saturday

·      If working Saturday, a day off is provided during the week

·      Hours: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

·      No Sunday or Bank Holiday work

·      Salary is DOE

Key Responsibilities

·      Provide fast, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service by engaging with customers, assessing their needs, and offering tailored assistance

·      Build and maintain strong product knowledge in areas such as Building Materials, Hardware, and Plumbing supplies

·      Answer customer queries, explain product features, and suggest complementary products

·      Keep shelves well-stocked, organised, and merchandised to maintain a clean and professional store appearance

·      Monitor stock levels, report low inventory, and assist with stock replenishment

·      Support other departments and assist with general store duties as required

·      Work independently and as part of a collaborative team

·      Use in-store computer systems efficiently
